The Rainbow Loom craze has hit the Woolsey household and has been an intense force in the kids’ lives for a couple of months now. It may be one of the better things that has happened to me in 2013. Now, instead of telling me they don’t know what to do or asking to play the iPad, they all silently take their places at the desk and start making jewelry. And they will do it all afternoon.
For example, I did not hear a peep from any of my children during the 5 hour drive to Avila Beach a couple of days ago. Why? They were very busy working their Rainbow Looms. They were creating bracelets and necklaces with names like Starburst, Zippy Chains, Double Rhombus, Triple Singles, Singles, Double X’s, Butterfly Blossoms, Diamonds, , Ladder, Hexafish, Tulip tower, Zigzags, and the very popular Fishtale.
If your kids are 5 years old or older and you don’t have a Rainbow Loom, do yourself a favor and go get one.
Until next time, the mothership is signing off.
Good thinking there Meg….I wonder how long before you or Chris have to come up with the next project!! Suggestion…maybe a stall at the craft market to sell these works of art? Nice work kids!. B&J
