Mr. Old Ted

December 31, 2012

I welcome and cherish any comments posted to my blog.  Please DO NOT reply to the email.  Instead, click on www.thehipmothership.com and click on “comments.”  Thank you!

A New Year’s Eve poem and picture by Ava in the style of Shel Silverstein:

Mr. old Ted said in his head that he was frightfully dead,

but to his surprise it was only in his head that told Mr. old Ted, “why, I am frightfully dead!”

But when he awoke in the morning sunshine, there were a bunch of old Ted’s spiders as big as Mr. old Ted’s head in his bed.

Mr. old Ted was a little afraid because all of the spiders were crawling all over Mr. old Ted’s frightfully dead head.

(To his surprise he was still alive and it was all just a dream.)
