It had been a stressful afternoon. More stressful than most. I composed myself and drove down to Face In A Book with a trunk full of books and Prosecco ready for my first book signing.
I didn’t know how many people to expect Friday night. The book signing had been publicized all over social media, but I didn’t know who would show up.
You know how people talk about their tribe? The tribe – those people that you can count on for everything in your life. Those people who are always there for you. Those people who have your back when the shit hits the fan. Well, my tribe showed up Friday night and they were genuinely supportive.
Thank you tribe!
Thank you to the ladies who published It’s Really 10 Months Special Delivery for including my essay in their collection of hilarious essays. Seriously, this is a really funny book and I am honored to be funny enough to be a part of it.
I have never done a book signing and felt a little awkward about having the spotlight so intensely on me. I signed books and mingled around the amazing Face In A Book sipping on my Prosecco. My mom talked me into reading an excerpt from the book, so of course I chose the one where I make fun of her. She is a good sport.
Here are a few pictures I wanted to share from the event.
Until next time, the mothership is signing off.
