Saquon Barkley’s backward hurdle against Jaguars draws widespread disbelief from NFL fans

Saquon Barkley on Sunday added another standout play to the highlight reel of his first season with the Philadelphia Eagles.

The seven-year veteran running back turned what could’ve been a mundane 14-yard reception into a sequence to remember in the second quarter against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Barkley corralled the pass and unleashed a nasty spin move on Jaguars linebacker Devin Lloyd as he turned upfield before leaping for a ridiculous backward, no-look hurdle over Jags cornerback Jarrian Jones.

In case the description doesn’t do the play justice, the slow-motion replay captured the mind-boggling moment, giving Barkley another jaw-dropping play to boast amid a host of them this season. Barkley signed with the Eagles in free agency this spring after six seasons with the New York Giants.

Barkley’s 180-degree hurdle quickly went viral as reactions poured in on social media, with many fans struggling to comprehend what they just witnessed.
