With the recent release of the iPhone 16 series, the tech world is abuzz with Apple’s new A18 processor and camera upgrades. And though the iPhone 16 lineup is available for preorders starting this Friday, Sept. 13, we’re currently seeing some great deals on last year’s iPhone 15 series. The iPhone 15 is a fantastic phone that’s still sitting pretty at the top of our list of favorite phones. Aside from looking good, these phones also pack a lot of power, have upgraded features, and are easy to handle for anyone who’s been an Apple user for any length of time. But with the iPhone 15 starting at $799 and the iPhone 15 Pro Max at $1,199, finding a good deal is the key to getting the most for your money.

The now previous-gen iPhone 15 has plenty of flashy features. It’s powered by the A16 Bionic chip, for rapid speeds and increased efficiency over earlier models. The iPhone 15 Pro runs on Apple’s A17 Pro chip for powerful performance. The iPhone 15 series sports USB-C charging, brighter displays and upgraded ultra wideband capabilities. The iPhone 15 Pro also has a customizable action button and a titanium chassis, and there’s a periscope-style telephoto lens on the larger iPhone 15 Pro Max.

Best iPhone 15 deals

Though there are no direct discounts on any of the iPhone 15 series devices, Apple’s trade-in program is offering as much as $650 off when you hand over your old device. Specifically, you can get up to $170 or more when trading in an iPhone 11 or newer model. The iPhone Upgrade Program or Apple Card* financing (and cash back) are also options, and you can save even more when you opt to sign up with a carrier.

Right now carrier deals through Apple include getting up to $1,000 in trade-in credit with T-Mobile and $154 in bill credits with AT&T, no trade-in required.

Verizon customers adding a new line on an Unlimited Plus or Unlimited Ultimate plan can save up to $830 on the base iPhone 15, which nets you the phone for free, or $750 on the iPhone 15 Plus, which drops it down to as low as $5 a month. A similar deal applies to the iPhone 15 Pro, with $820 off with a new line, or you can get $840 off the iPhone 15 Pro Max.

If you’ve got an eligible phone to trade in, you can get up to $830 off the iPhone 15 series with a new or upgraded line.

Verizon is offering free access to NFL Sunday Ticket on YouTube for the 2024 season when you open a new line.

AT&T customers on a qualifying unlimited plan can save up to $700 on the iPhone 15 or up to $1,000 on the 15 Pro or Pro Max with an eligible trade-in and by opting for an installment plan. Even old and damaged phones with a trade-in value of just $35 or more will net you some savings, so you might be surprised at what that cracked iPhone in your drawer is worth. The discount is applied in the form of bill credits over 36 months, and you’ll have to pay the remaining balance if you cancel your service before then.

AT&T is also offering a discount of 20% on a pair of Beats Fit Pro earbuds with the purchase of an iPhone 15. And you can save $150 when you open a new line online or get up to four Unlimited lines for as low as $25. You must sign up for autopay and paperless billing to receive this benefit.

Don’t have a phone to hand over? You can still save big if you get an iPhone 15 Plus on an installment plan and pick or upgrade to an unlimited plan. It’s for a 36-month contract, but it’s not a bad deal for $6 a month and doesn’t require a trade-in.

Get your iPhone 15 through Best Buy on AT&T or Verizon and save as much as $1,000 when you trade in your old device.

You’ll also get three months of Apple TV, Apple Fitness and Apple Music, plus four months of Apple Arcade for free.

If you want the standard iPhone 15, you can get it for free when you sign up for Boost Infinite’s Infinite Access plan at $65 a month. It’s similar to Apple’s iPhone Upgrade Program in that you can upgrade to the newest iPhone each year, but it rolls in unlimited talk, text and 5G data, plus 5GB of data while roaming in Mexico and Canada, and unlimited talk and text from the US to Mexico and Canada. You don’t need to trade in a device to get started, although each annual upgrade requires you to give back the old iPhone.

If you prefer the iPhone 15 Plus, you can get a similar offer with the Infinite Access plan, but you’ll pay just under $3 a month. The Pro will be just under $5 per month and the Pro Max just over $10 a month.

Although Consumer Cellular doesn’t have any direct discounts, you can get up to $700 trade-in credit on the iPhone 15, 15 Plus, Pro or Pro Max. Currently, all makes and models are in stock, but they aren’t unlocked. Consumer Cellular has plans starting at $20 a month.

At Target you can save up to $700 with a trade-in if you’re willing to set up with AT&T. If you don’t have a device to trade, you can get $250 off the price just to switch to AT&T. You also get two free months of Apple Music.
