How to Watch the 2024 MTV VMAs Tonight Without Cable

Fan-fueled and full of guest performers, the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards will be hosted by Megan Thee Stallion and feature an opening performance from Eminem. Both artists have been nominated across multiple categories this year. 

Video Vanguard Award recipient Katy Perry is set to hit the stage with a medley of her greatest hits, while other performers include Anitta, Chappell Roan, GloRilla, Sabrina Carpenter, Lenny Kravitz, Karol G, Shawn Mendes and LL Cool J. Tune in to see awards presented by Cyndi Lauper, Carson Daly, Big Sean, Busta Rhymes, Halle Bailey, Paris Hilton, Tinashe and more.

In addition to casting votes for music and video categories, fans have voted on four social categories this time around: Song of Summer, Best Group, VMAs Most Iconic Performance and Best Trending Video. Eminem’s Houdini is nominated for Song of Summer, along with Not Like Us by Kendrick Lamar. Megan Thee Stallion’s Mamushi is up for the Best Trending Video award.

Viewers can see some of their favorite artists in the running for top honors, including Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Doja Cat, SZA, Billie Eilish, Beyoncé, Tyla and first-time nominee Sabrina Carpenter. Here’s how to catch the show live if you don’t have cable or a satellite provider.

When to watch the 2024 MTV VMAs

This year’s show will air live on Wednesday, Sept. 11 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on MTV and other Paramount-owned networks, including BET, VH1, CMT, Comedy Central, Logo, MTV2, Nick at Nite, Paramount Network, TV Land and Univision. Viewers can catch the show in more than 150 countries.
