Google Pixel phones regularly take top spots in our list of the best phones available, giving both Apple and Samsung phones a run for their money. Although overall Pixel phones tend to be affordably priced, that doesn’t exactly mean they come cheap, especially the Pixel Pro and XL models. Luckily, we’ve found plenty of ways to score a Pixel phone at a price that won’t derail your budget.

Google/CNET

An important note for bargain hunters: Last week, Google revealed the new Pixel 9 models during a live event. That means prices on older models, such as last year’s Pixel 8 Pro and the original Pixel Fold, are likely to start falling. While they might not be the newest, shiniest tech out there anymore, we’re still fans of plenty of earlier models, such as the Pixel 7A or even the previous-gen Pixel 6A. They’re still great phones, and you don’t have to spend too much money to get one.

Hey, did you know? CNET Deals texts are free, easy and save you money

We’ve compiled the best deals across all the Pixel models happening right now. If you see a deal you want to take advantage of, be quick about it. Phone carriers and other retailers offering discounts on phones and accessories can change these prices at their discretion and without notice.

Pixel 9, 9 Pro, 9 XL and 9 Pro Fold deals

Just introduced, the new Pixel 9 series phones come with a fresh design and are jam-packed with AI features. Generative AI pops up in many places, like the weather app and the all-new image-generation app. The new design uses flat edges and has a more defined camera bar. At an impressive 6.8 inches, the XL model is the largest phone created by Google yet. The Pixel 9 retails for $799, the 9 Pro is going for $999, the new XL model is selling for $1,099 and the Pro Fold starts at $1,799.

Verizon is offering the Google Pixel for free when you trade in any phone from Google, Apple or Samsung. The best part is the phone can be in any condition. If you don’t have a device, you can still save $620 on the phone when you add a new line to your current plan.

You can also save $900 on the Pro Fold when you add a new line on to your Unlimited Ultimate plan.

AT&T is offering the brand-new Google Pixel 9 Pro or XL phone for free when you trade in another Pixel phone, any model or year. If you’re looking to get the Google Pixel 9, you can get one for just $11 per month instead of the usual $24 per month.

T-Mobile has some special prices on the Pixel 9 phones. It’s selling the 9 Pro and XL phones for $1,000 each. This saves you $100 on the 9 Pro and $200 on the XL compared to buying directly from Google. The Pixel 9 is also discounted by $100, coming down to $800.

When you add a line or trade in an eligible device on Go5G Plus or Go5G Next, you can score up to $1,000 off the Pixel 9 phones, including the Pro Fold. ‘

When you join Google Fi’s phone plan, you can get up to $500 back any of the brand-new Google Pixel 9 models. Keep in mind this offer is not valid for existing Google Fi customers. There are also trade-in offers as well to help you knock some money off the phone. You’ll also get Gemini Advanced for free for one year, a $239 value.

When you order the 9 Pro you can get $200 in Google store credit and if you choose the Pro Fold, you can get $350 in store credit. This ends on September 7.

Best Buy isn’t offering current discounts on the Pixel 9 lineup unless you want their help connect through a carrier. They have a decent trade-in program that can net you hundreds in savings depending on the device you want to trade-in. Plus, you can also score a $350 Best Buy gift card when you buy the Pro Fold.

Right now you can score $240 off any Google device for a limited time.

If you finance any of the new Pixel 9 series phones through Xfinity, you can score $500 off. You will receive this discount in bill credits starting with the first bill after activation. If this wasn’t enough, if you have a device to trade in, you can knock some more money off the total.

There are no discounts on Pixel 9 phones at Target right now, but this tends to change from time to time. If you have a Target Circle™ credit card* you can save 5% on your total purchase.

Right now Spectrum is offering a $500 savings on the 9 Pro XL, plus an additional $100 off if you trade in an eligible phone.

Pixel 8 and 8 Pro deals

Released in late 2023, the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro were the latest phones in Google’s flagship lineup until the release of the Pixel 9. The Pixel 8 and 8 Pro are equipped with a next-gen Tensor G3 processor, new AI features and improved screens. You have a few ways to buy one for less right now.

There are no current discounts on Pixel 8 or Pixel 8 Pro phones. There is always the potential for some trade-in credit, though.

Although AT&T is not offering any direct savings on Pixel 8 or 8 Pro phones right now. They have a trade-in program that can help you save if you have an eligible device.

Verizon currently has no direct discounts on Pixel 8 or Pixel 8 Pro phones themselves but you can get up to $800 off either phone if you have an eligible trade-in. This offer is good for new and existing customers on Unlimited Ultimate plans. As a bonus, Verizon is throwing in NFL Sunday Ticket on YouTube for free for the season.

T-Mobile customers on a Go5G Plus or Go5G Next plan can get a free Pixel 8 with an eligible trade-in or a new line of service. Adding a new line with other qualifying service plans — such as Go5G, Magenta or One — can also get you the Pixel 8 for free with a $35 activation fee. Or if you opt for one of these plans and have a trade-in, you can get up to $500 in bill credits.

The savings are given in bill credits spread out over 24 months. At present, T-Mobile is not carrying the Pixel 8 or Pixel 8 Pro.

Right now, both the unlocked Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro aren’t discounted directly at Best Buy, but you can get up to $325 trade-in credit. You also get three months of Google One (100GB storage) with either Pixel phone.

If you opt to connect to a carrier through Best Buy, you can save $100 on either model. Some Best Buy locations also have open-box versions, which can also help you maximize savings.

Mint Mobile is currently offering the Pixel 8 at a staggering $180 off, bringing the total down to just $699. Plus, you’ll get six months of free wireless when you sign up for a six-month or longer plan.

At the moment, Mint Mobile does not have the Pixel 8 Pro.

Target is not currently offering direct discounts on the Pixel 8 or the Pixel 8 Pro, but they are in stock. Target Circle members and Target Circle™ credit card holders can save an extra 5%.

Pixel 8A deals

The Pixel 8A is new — we just reviewed it in May this year — and at its unlocked list price of $500, it’s a tremendous value. Let’s see if we can make it even better.

Google/CNET

AT&T is now offering new and existing customers the Google Pixel 8A for just $6 per month if you purchase outright or on an installment plan on an eligible plan. You can then receive bill credits of up to $304. AT&T is also offering a free AT&T AmiGO Jr. watch with this phone (requires an eligible separate line).

Google is not offering the Pixel 8A at a discount, but you can get trade-in credit on various phones. The Pixel 8A comes with three free months of Google One and YouTube Premium as well as six months of Fitbit Premium.

There’s no current discount on the unlocked Pixel 8A but if you opt for a carrier model you can save $100 on the regular price. There is also potential to save more with a trade-in.

Verizon isn’t currently offering any discounts on the Google Pixel 8A, but you can save with a trade-in.

Right now T-Mobile is offering the Pixel 8A for free if you add a new line, no trade-in required. If you do have a phone to trade, as long as you have the Go5G, Magenta or One plan, you can get up to $500 in trade-in credit via bill credits over 24 months. There is a one-time $35 device connection charge. Naturally, the newer-model phones will get you the highest trade-in credit.

Right now Mint Mobile has the Google Pixel 8A on sale for $100 off. Plus, when you purchase one year of wireless, you’ll get half of that for free. This applies to the obsidian 128GB variant only.

You can get $100 off when you bring in a qualifying device to trade in and purchase and activate the Pixel 8A through Spectrum. You may also qualify for more savings in the form of trade-in credit, depending on the device you decide to swap.

Pixel 7 and 7 Pro deals

The previous-gen Pixel 7 and 7 Pro hit shelves in October 2022, and you’ll find them in stock and available at most major retailers and carriers. Whether you’re looking for an unlocked model, have an older device to trade in or need a new service plan through a carrier, several offers are available to you.

There are no direct discounts on the Google Pixel 7 or 7 Pro through Google right now, but you can trade in your old phone from Google, Apple, Samsung and other brands for up to $450 off (with the latest iPhones netting you the biggest discount).

Although Verizon is no longer carrying the Pixel 7 Pro, the Pixel 7 is still available. Although there are no direct discounts, Verizon occasionally offers perks to go along with new phone purchases. These deals fluctuate, so check back often. For now, new and existing customers can get 0% APR on a new Pixel 7. The carrier is also offering free two-day shipping when you open a new line.

Mint is still carrying both the 7 and 7 Pro, and if you buy six months of service you get six months for free. Both phones are in stock but available only in a locked model.

Pixel 7A deals

The Pixel 7 (left) and Pixel 7A (right) behind held up next to each other

Richard Peterson/CNET

CNET’s Lisa Eadicicco reviewed the budget-friendly Pixel 7A and found it has many of the same features as the Pixel 7, saying that “it has the same Tensor G2 processor as the Pixel 7, a new 64-megapixel main camera and a 6.1-inch screen just like its predecessor.” It’s available at a lower base price than the other models in the Pixel 7 lineup, but unless you can find it for significantly less than the 8A (or a great deal with your carrier), go for the newer phone.

Best Buy isn’t offering any discounts on the Pixel 7A right now, but you can trade in a device to save a good amount off the standard price. Although technically you can save up to $755, with iPhones netting you the most back, your trade-in amount can’t exceed the value of the Pixel 7A, so you’ll have to see how much your trade-in would be worth. You can also save if you buy open-box phones, but availability varies by location. You can save an extra $100 when you connect with a carrier via Best Buy.

The purchase comes with three free months of Google One and three free months of YouTube Premium (for new subscribers).

AT&T doesn’t have a discount on the Pixel 7A right now, but you can potentially get trade-in credit.

Pixel Fold deals

James Martin/CNET

Samsung’s new generation of Z-series foldable phones has some competition from Google. The Pixel Fold was Google’s very first foldable device. It features a 5.8-inch cover screen, a 7.6-inch OLED internal screen, 12GB of RAM, a Tensor G2 processor and an intimidating $1,799 starting price, although you can get your hands on one for less with the trade-in offers below. With the announcement of the 9 Pro Fold, which you can now preorder, we’re hoping to see even more price drops on the original Fold.

Google isn’t offering discounts on the Pixel Fold right now. You can save up to $435 with trade-in credit for an eligible device.

New and existing Verizon customers can save on the Pixel Fold right now. If you’re adding a new line of service and you have an eligible trade-in, you can save up to $800. If you’re already a Verizon customer who qualifies for an upgrade, you can save up to $800 when you trade in an eligible device. If you open up a new qualifying line, you could get $899 off.

Verizon is also offering NFL Sunday Ticket from YouTube with a new line.

Get an instant savings of $100 when you get the Pixel Fold, activate it and trade in a qualifying device.

Pixel 6A deals

Lisa Eadicicco/CNET

CNET’s Lisa Eadicicco originally called Google’s affordable Pixel 6A the “best Android phone under $500.” It’s slightly smaller than the Pixel 7, with a 6.1-inch OLED display with a refresh rate of 60Hz. It’s equipped with 128GB of storage and 6GB of RAM, plus 5G capabilities and support for Wi-Fi 6 for fast browsing. After the release of the Pixel 7A, Google dropped the starting price by $100, so it was already a solid value at $349.

Right now, discounts are few and far between and the phone is largely out of stock. Still, we’ve collected the best deals we can find below.

Verizon is currently offering the Google Pixel 6A for the standard retail price of $400. You can save with trade-in.

Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro deals

The Pixel 6 is almost three years old, so new models are scarcer than before. If you’re committed to snagging one of these older flagship phones, know that Google no longer carries the Pixel 6, and most retailers and carriers have shifted their offers over to the newer Pixel 7 or Pixel 8 models, so deals are limited.

The 6 and 6 Pro are only sporadically available at Verizon, and there are currently no straightforward discounts, but Verizon is offering free two-day shipping or express in-store pickup with purchase.

The 6 Pro is out of stock right now and is only available by express pickup.
