Warwick Davis‘ children have said the actor is “taking some time away from social media” after a tweet in which he posted “I’m done here” caused concern.

The Willow star’s wife Samantha Davis died last month aged 53 and the news was revealed by Davis in a statement to the BBC a few days ago.

Last night, Davis posted on X saying “I’m done here. Signing off,” but his children quickly sought to reassure with a post calming concerns.

“Thank you everyone for looking out for our Dad, he is taking some time away from social media,” they posted from his X account. “He apologises if his last message caused anyone concern. We appreciate all of your love and support, Annabelle and Harrison x.”

Davis has appeared in the Star Wars and Harry Potter franchises, along with British series like Life’s Too Short with Ricky Gervais.

He met Samantha Davis on the set of 1988’s Willow and the couple married several years later. In 1995, they founded talent company Willow Management and in 2012 they founded Little People UK, a charitable resource for the dwarfism community.

Warwick Davis said last week: “My wife and soulmate, best friend. Devoted mother, My favorite human. My most trusted confidant and an ardent supporter of everything I did in my career, has passed. The most open, warm person I have ever known. Her passing has left a huge hole in our lives as a family. I miss her hugs. She was a unique character, always seeing the sunny side of life. She had a wicked sense of humor and always laughed at my bad jokes.”
